In November 2017 I was an artist-in-residence at the Mission Clay Art + Industry program in Phoenix, Arizona. During my time there, I created three large-scale sculptural columns (4-7 feet tall) using extruded terra-cotta pipes. The pipes were transformed by painting, drawing, starched surface, slicing, extracting, piercing, and joining into decorative dynamic assemblies.
